This profile teaser of the Mazda6 2014 is not to be mistaken for the Takeri concept that has generated loads of enthusiasm amongst the global car community.
While the countdown begins till the Paris Motorshow where the Mazda6 2014 will be officially revealed, fanboys will just have to make-do with these sensual teaser videos.
Mazda’s PR team have refused to reveal anymore information before the official unveiling this year at the 2012 Paris Motorshow (29 September – 14 October). But at least we can see that they haven’t deviated far from the highly popular Takeri concept, revealed earlier at the Geneva Motorshow.
The bulbous fenders remain and the windows follow the contour of the body like a coupe. Those who have the Mazda6 2014 in sights for their next purchase, thus far will be pleased to know that the Takeri Concept has influenced the majority of the design.

Mazda did say however, that the Mazda6 2014 model will come equipped with SkyActiv technology as standard. This means the Mazda6 2014 model will boast awesome fuel efficiency (1,500 km each tank – apparently) and a six-speed transmission. If you’re the type to speculate, some of the well-received rumours is that the Mazda6 2014 will be available in sedan, hatchback, wagon and coupe.
We can also celebrate the birth of a new colour! Mazda’s chief designer, Akira Tamatani says, “The car’s form manages to convey both a dignified tension and suppleness at the same time, and Soul Red is brilliantly vivid with a deep luster. It’s the way these two elements complement each other which produces the charm of the new Mazda6.”
So there you go, modifiers can go berserk on a candy alternative! We do agree that its high in saturation and low in brightness but what we’d really like to see is how it would look in real life – without the studio lights and the show lights of the motorshow. Well, I guess we’ll just have to wait a couple more months. Don’t worry, we’ll let you know how it goes.
